Running for Local Office

Local Offices Up for Election in 2020

Nov 27, 2019:  Candidacy filing and nomination papers are available for anyone interested in running for local office in the Town in 2020.  Forms are available as PDF documents further down the page.  Note:  The first day to begin circulating nomination papers for signatures is December 1, 2019.  Please contact the Town Hall with any questions.

These are all nonpartisan offices.  If more than two candidates file for the same office, then a run-off election will be held in February 2020 to narrow the number of candidates for that office to two.  The offices that are up for election in April 2020 (with possible run-offs in February 2020) are:

Lodi Town Board

There are two seats on the Lodi Town Board that are up for election in 2020.  Anyone interested in running for a seat on the Lodi Town Board needs to file their candidacy and nomination papers with the Town of Lodi Clerk.  See the Candidacy & Nomination Forms section below.

  • Town Board - Supervisor 3 (currently held by Chad Wolter)
  • Town Board - Supervisor 4 (currently held by Jon Plumer)
Sanitary District Boards

Neither of the Sanitary District Boards have any seats up for election in 2020.  Anyone interested in running for a seat on the Harmony Grove Sanitary District Board or the Okee Sanitary District Board needs to file their candidacy and nomination papers with the Town of Lodi Clerk.  See the Candidacy & Nomination Forms section below.

Note that the candidate and every one of the electors that sign their nomination forms must all be residents of the respective sanitary district.

Lodi School District Board of Education

There are two seats on the Lodi School District Board that are up for election in 2020.  Anyone interested in running for a seat on the School Board needs to file their candidacy and nomination papers with the Lodi School District Clerk.  See the School Board Elections page at the District's site for more information.

  • Lodi School District Board - Seat (currently held by Susan Miller)
  • Lodi School District Board - Seat (currently held by H. Adam Steinberg)

Candidacy & Nomination Forms

Candidates for the Lodi Town Board or either of the Sanitary District Boards will use these four forms to complete the filing and nomination process.  Instructions are included within each form.
